God will not just pick you up one day and put you into your destiny. You have to take steps toward it and know that God will direct those steps. He will teach us to number our days so that we may gain hearts of wisdom*. He promises to give us discernment and focus to see exactly what he calls each of us to do, and to give us endless energy and boundless strength do that he can accomplish his work in us. Begin to ask God to help you right now wherever you are. God invites you to come to him, “If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you.” God so longs to help you.
Doing this can be as simple as saying, “Father, I’m available to you. More than anything else, I want to do your will. I want your wisdom and direction in my life.” Prayers like this will keep the sense of destiny in the forefront of your thinking and will keep your heart in the position to receive his very best for you.
