When you feel lonely do you find yourself thinking, “I wish someone were here with me,” or asking, “Does anybody even care?” If that’s you, I have good news for you. If Jesus is your Lord and Savior, the Holy Spirit lives in you and He is with you right now and wherever you go. He is your constant companion.

You may ask, “Lisa, how can I know the Holy Spirit is with me?” Jesus made a promise to us. He said in John 14:16 (MSG), I will talk to the Father, and he’ll provide you another Friend so that you will always have someone with you. This Friend is the Spirit of Truth. Other Bible translations say that He will give you another Comforter, Counselor, Helper, Intercessor, Advocate, Strengthener and Standby. The Holy Spirit wants to help you each day in every season of your life.

The Holy Spirit is the Presence of God in you. He is part of the Godhead – the Trinity – which is God, our Heavenly Father, Jesus, the Son of God, and the Holy Spirit.

  • Jesus lives in you by the Holy Spirit.
  • Jesus works through you by the Holy Spirit.
  • Jesus speaks to you by the Holy Spirit.

The Holy Spirit will help you fulfill your destiny and the call of God on your life. He will equip you, enable you, empower you, and gift you to do what you are called to do. He will counsel you and teach you all things because He knows all things. He is the Spirit of Truth and knows the mind of God.

The Holy Spirit is called to help you like an attorney helps someone in court before a judge. He will plead your cause in the high court of Heaven before the Judge of all the earth, your Heavenly Father. He will defend, support, and promote you over all the forces of darkness that come against you.

The Holy Spirit is your personal Intercessor. He prays for you continually, petitions God on your behalf, and entreats His favor over all He has destined you to do. You may feel weak, discouraged, or worried today, but the Holy Spirit is present to help you. Even if you are facing sickness, sorrow, or loss, the Holy Spirit is there to comfort you and assure you of God’s faithfulness.

You may be going through a great challenge, and you need a touch from God today. You may feel alone. You may be experiencing emotional pain and heartache. Or possibly you may be facing a health issue. I want to remind you that you are never alone. The Holy Spirit is with you. He is thinking about you. He is saying to you today, Fear not, for I am with you. Let’s learn to depend on Him to be our Helper at all times.

You do not have to face life on your own. You have supernatural help. The Holy Spirit is your Constant Companion. He always loves you, lifts you, and gives life to your spirit, soul, and body. Jesus promised the Holy Spirit will never leave you nor forsake you. Let’s become more aware of the presence and work of the Holy Spirit in our personal lives and learn to lean on Him.
