When you feel lost, alone, or in need do you find yourself thinking, “I just wish someone were here with me,” or asking, “Does anybody even care?” If that’s you then I have good news for you! You are not alone and there is someone who cares for you more than anyone else. He is the Holy Spirit and He is your Best Friend.
You may ask, “Well Lisa, how can I know the Holy Spirit is with me?” Jesus said in John 14:16 (NIV), “I will ask the Father and He will give you another Friend to help you and to be with you forever.” Other Bible translations say that He will give you another Comforter, Counselor, Helper, Intercessor, Advocate, Strengthener and Standby.
The moment you allowed Jesus into your heart the Holy Spirit became your Best Friend. He cares about you and He is with you right there where you are. He is with you wherever you go as your constant companion. The Holy Spirit wants to help you each day in every area of your life.
The Holy Spirit will help you fulfill your destiny and the call of God on your life. He will equip you, enable you, empower you, and gift you to do what you are called to do. He will counsel you and teach you all things because He knows all things! You may feel weak, discouraged, or worried today, but the Holy Spirit is present to help you and comfort you.
